Dairy-Free Veggie Dip (vegan, Paleo, Whole30)

This Dairy-Free Veggie Dip is an easy snack or appetizer for any occasion! It's smooth, creamy and full of zesty seasonings. Plus it's gluten-free, low carb, keto, vegan, Paleo and Whole30 friendly.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise (avocado oil-based for Paleo/Whole30; vegan mayonnaise for vegan)
  • ½ cup dairy-free sour cream see notes below for options
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh dill plus more for garnish, optional
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • zest from ½ lemon optional

Instructions

  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients. Whisk or stir everything together until combined. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  • Pour into a serving bowl and top with more minced fresh dill. Or chill it in the fridge for at least one hour to let it thicken up, then taste again to double-check the seasoning (chilling the dip can affect the flavor).

Notes

Note: Nutritional info based on using Chosen Avocado Oil Mayonnaise and Kite Hill dairy-free sour cream.
Dairy-Free Sour Cream options: You can use Kite Hill for vegan or Forager for Paleo/Whole30.
Substitutions
You can use dairy-free Greek yogurt in place of the dairy-free sour cream.
You can use ¾ teaspoon dried dill instead of fresh.
You can use 1 teaspoon kosher salt instead of fine sea salt.
You can use 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley instead of dried (and then add more on top to garnish as well).
Make ahead
You can store this dip in the fridge. Check the expiration dates on the mayonnaise and sour cream - whichever one is sooner, that’s how long you can keep the dip.
Freezer instructions
I do not recommend freezing this dip.
